DITTO - 1984 EVOLution - F&F Kit

The EVOLution… With strength and innovation in mind, we’ve taken our proven design and geometry and added a tapered headtube (1 1/8" top bearing and a 1.5" lower bearing), for better distribution of stress and force. We kept the upper and lower gussets for even more added strength. Additionally the Headtube and Bottom Bracket are internally and externally machined. We’ve also redesigned our dropouts. Still 8mm thick with integrated chain tensioners, but we’ve lengthened them to allow more rear wheel adjustment from 13.75" (slammed) to 14.5"(fully extended). With tire clearance, to fit even 2.4” tires. But still there is more, things you can’t see like the double butted tubing in the top and down tubes.

1984orks - 'EVOLution' (tapered 1 1/8" to 1.5" Steertube design.) Designed from our OriGinal the EVOLution has 1 piece tapered and machined (internally and externally) 172mm length steer tube. Tapered fork legs with 6mm thick drop outs at 30mm offset. We’ve included removable brake posts into the mix. Never again will you regret not getting ‘the other forks’, call it the best of both worlds. Brakeless no problem, leave the posts out. Want brakes, simply install them. Plus our ‘upside down heart’ on the crown is intentionally designed (no BS) to help guide the cable regardless of which side your brake needs the cable routed. Topping things off our newly redesigned ‘key hole’ topcap with slot off the 8mm allen key hole to allow cable to be pushed to side for headset adjustments and can even allow fork removal without disassembly of brakes (for travel). Makes it quick and easy to reassemble. As always plenty of clearance even on 2.4" tires.

‘EVOLution’ Tapered headset includes upper (1 1/8") and lower (1.5") bearings, top cover, 3 varied size spacers, upper race, and 2 lower races (1 to fit tapered Steertube forks and 1 to fit ‘OG' style (1 1/8") Steertube fork, in case of an 'emergency'.)
